Travis and I decided to start a blog to be able to let family and friends know about what is going on and be able to see pictures! Hopefully we can keep it up...that is going to be the test! We thought with the new adventure of our sweet little angel coming, that it would be a great way to share the moment to moment things that are going on! Just to start off the post I thought I would share some of the milestones leading up to when Trey gets here.
Just to start there are some not so attractive pregnancy bump photos...bless my heart.

He has definitely been my "little" soccer ball throughout this whole pregnancy. I have gained all my weight into a little ball. Here are just some random facts about Trey and this pregnancy...
- We found out we were pregnant on Fathers' Day. This was a super cool moment for Trav especially and one that we will treasure. We just kept starting at the test thinking it would change. But then all throughout the day he just kept thinking that he was going to be a dad :)
- During my first ultrasound at 9 weeks the power went out during it...not the most convenient thing to happen during the first one.
- I first felt Trey move at 16 weeks. He has hardly quit moving since then. He is a very active baby.
- We went in for our 20 week appointment to find out the gender! Trey was not shy and that first shot let us know that he was all boy! We were so excited!
- Travis first felt the baby move at 21 weeks. We were sitting there listening to General Conference and he felt him move 2 times. That was exciting!
- At the 26 week appointment we went in for the blood glucose test, which I failed miserably. Travis said it's because I'm too sweet...all I know is that it definitely changed my eating habits. This has been the hardest part of the pregnancy. I am so blessed in how this pregnancy has gone that I can't complain. He is a healthy boy and I am healthy. What more could you want? I have just put on my happy face and put up with it knowing that eventually I would be able to eat that cookie again, or that fresh roll out of the oven, or drink that glass of milk! It's been hard but with Trav right there with me and even doing my "diet" with me, it's been easier.
- A bonus to having Gestational Diabetes is that we got to have an extra ultrasound at 36 weeks. That was a sweet experience. Trey was even playing with his umbilical cord. He measured in the 80% for weight so he is not the smallest of babies. They decided then to induce me a week early to make things easier for me and also easier and less stressful for Trey. I didn't com pain about having to have him early!
- 38 week appointment went well. I am dilated to 1 and effacing so that is good progress to being able to have this baby early. I am hoping to get to a 2 by next monday so that on Tuesday I am ready to go! We will see! Trav and I will be calling at 5 am on Tuesday Feb. 11 to see what time we can come in and start the process of getting this sweet angel here! Hopefully all goes well!!
- Trey loves the right side of my belly and is constantly pushing his back out on that side. It often makes for a funny lopsided belly.
- I have gained a total of 10 lbs throughout the pregnancy. I guess that's one of the bonuses to being on my special diet haha although I fear gaining all my pregnancy weight after Trey comes being able to eat whatever I want again...control Shay!
